You must stop the illegal dismantling of the Forest Service. USDA’s own lawyers know that it is illegal and told the agency to do it anyway. Congress passed two laws, Section 716 and Section 421 of an appropriations bill, requiring advance approval before any Forest Service restructuring or relocation. Both chambers. Bipartisan. The President signed them. USDA’s General Counsel wrote an internal memo declaring those laws unconstitutional and told the agency to proceed as if they don’t exist.
