Why Are You Not Representing Your Constituents?
To: Sen. Hawley, Sen. Schmitt
From: A verified voter in Kansas City, MO
April 14
I am writing to ask a direct and necessary question: why are you not representing the people who put you in office?
Your silence and inaction in the face of what many of us see as a deeply corrupt administration is not just disappointing it is unacceptable. The American people are watching leaders look the other way while dishonesty, abuse of power, and blatant disregard for accountability continue unchecked. That is not leadership. That is complicity.
So I have to ask are you choosing not to speak out because you are aligned with this corruption? Or do you simply lack the courage to stand up for your constituents when it matters most? Either answer is deeply troubling.
You were elected to serve the people, not to protect political interests or shield wrongdoing. Your duty is to represent us with integrity, to demand transparency, and to hold those in power accountable regardless of party.
Right now, it feels like you are failing to do that.
If you continue down this path, do not expect voters to forget. People are paying attention, and there will be consequences at the ballot box. Representation is not a passive role it requires action, conviction, and the willingness to stand up when it counts.
I urge you to start doing the job you were elected to do.
