An Open Letter

To: Sen. Murkowski, Sen. Sullivan, Rep. Begich

From: A constituent in Cooper Landing, AK

December 9

Removing free entry to our National Parks on select days is a pretty weird move for a president at all. Selecting Juneteenth and Martin Luther King Jr. Day is even weirder for anyone not blowing racist dog whistles. Besides, I wouldn’t make a stink about it. It will surely get better if you just ignore another real life example of a repeated and defining characteristic of this presidency…and the 400 year legacy of chattel slavery that our nation has yet to actually grapple with…and your continued complicity in the gutting of our civil service based on a demonstrably failed economic ideology demanding privatization of everything that really just enables kleptocrats to march us towards an authoritarian theocracy. But, I am probably just mistaken. At least everything else is going really well. /s
