An Open Letter

I am a constituent and breast cancer survivor who is immunocompromised. It is existentially important to me that our country has a robust public health program with plentiful vaccines, cancer research funding, and an independent FDA to evaluate pharmaceuticals. These programs run by the best scientists in the world literally saved my life. The expected nominee to lead these programs, RFK Jr, has none of the qualifications we need to be anywhere near the legitimate scientists working for public health. His longstanding ideas about vaccines and many other health concerns are more in the realm of crackpot conspiracy theories than science. They are dangerous. I expect you to stand up for good nominees qualified for their positions, and reject ones who are unqualified. RFK Jr is beyond unqualified; please speak out and vote no. My continued good health, and that of everyone in this country, is at stake.
