Medicare for All would provide comprehensive health care coverage for every American, free at the point of service. No premiums, deductibles, copays, or surprise medical bills. It expands Medicare to cover dental, vision, hearing, long-term care, mental health treatment, reproductive care, and prescription drugs. Notably, it caps out-of-pocket prescription costs at $200 per year. This universal, single-payer system puts patients over profits by eliminating the wasteful administrative bloat and price gouging of private insurance companies. It's time for the United States to join every other major country by guaranteeing health care as a human right. I urge reform that prioritizes quality, affordable care for all over corporation profits.
