No misuse of American service members making Gaza a tourist destination

To: Sen. Warner, Sen. Kaine, Rep. McGuire

From: A verified voter in Lynchburg, VA

February 6

The idea of using American service members to rebuild Gaza after catastrophe is not a bad one - we made a mess, let’s clean it up. However, it is offensive and immoral to use that as a thin-veil on a scheme to leverage US capital, both human and monetary, to not only create what basically amounts to a tourist destination mall, but one that could also personally enrich the President via his real estate empire. Moreover, using a war or genocide (depending on how you see it) as a crass land grab opportunity, is below us as a modern society. We the taxpayers should not be funding this. Our troops should not have to put their lives on the line to create this. It’s offensive to those who lost their lives (no matter which side of the Israel/Gaza conflict you find yourself on). It is completely unethical. Demand that Trump rescind this idea.
