The recent Israel airstrike on the northern Lebanese town of Ain Yaaqoub that murdered at least 14 people, including Syrian refugees residing in a building, is a deplorable act that must be condemned in the strongest terms. This strike marks an alarming escalation, hitting the northernmost point in Lebanon. Such indiscriminate attacks on civilian areas are a grave violation of international law and human rights principles. The rising death toll, which now stands at 3,243 killed and 14,134 wounded is a grim reminder of the human cost of this conflict. Particularly concerning is the fact that a quarter of the casualties are women and children. Moreover, the strikes have severely impacted essential services, with 191 health workers killed, 308 wounded, and 244 medical vehicles damaged. It's disgusting that the US government is responsible for World War 3 and instability in the middle East. It's disgusting that corrupt politicians would rather spend tax money from hardworking Americans on bombing women and children rather than America.
