Instruct Archivist to publish the Equal Rights Amendment

The Equal Rights Amendment, first proposed nearly a century ago, remains unratified due to an arbitrary time limit imposed by Congress. However, this deadline lacks any Constitutional basis and should be declared unenforceable by the Archivist. The recent legal opinion affirming that the ERA meets all requirements for ratification underscores the mandate to certify and publish it as the 28th Amendment without further delay. Failure to do so undermines democracy and denies equal rights under the law to millions of Americans. As such, I urge you to instruct the Archivist to officially publish the ERA, remedying this longstanding injustice and finally enshrining equality regardless of sex into the nation's founding document.
