Protect public health: End scientific censorship on federal websites

To: Rep. Stevens, Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin

From: A constituent in Ferndale, MI

February 5

The Trump administration's censorship of vital public health information on federal websites is extremely concerning and detrimental to the well-being of the nation. Doctors and medical professionals rely heavily on the latest guidelines and data from agencies like the CDC to provide safe, effective care to patients. Removing or altering this information based on political ideology rather than scientific evidence jeopardizes public health and puts lives at risk. This censorship disrupts the ability of healthcare providers to access up-to-date information on issues like HIV prevention, sexually transmitted infections, contraception, vaccination schedules, and more. It is unacceptable for the federal government to manipulate public health resources for political gain at the expense of scientific integrity and public welfare. I urge you to take immediate action to reverse this destructive policy of censoring public health data and ensure free, unimpeded access to factual, science-based information on federal websites. The health and safety of all Americans depend on it.
