Do not confirm RFK, Patel or Gabbard
To: Rep. Newhouse
From: A constituent in Richland, WA
February 5
Please stop and think. Do not confirm these bad nominees. Do not abandon your role to advise and consent, and do not consent to RFK, Tulsi Gabbard or Kash Patel. These people are the antithesis of good Cabinet leadership, and we all know this. Your switchboard may be flooded with calls to support them, but many of those may be robots. You may have been threatened with being primaried if you do not, but please, do the right thing anyways. A few people with integrity and courage to say no when no must be said stand between us and disasters in the making.Imagine what it will be like if we have a human bird flu epidemic, but no data or information is allowed to come from the CDC or no new vaccine from the FDA.The AMA and the AAP have pleaded with you to listen to their concerns and so am I. President Trump can choose better nominees, who will think and lead independently and appropriately when the need inevitably arises. PLEASE do not approve these inappropriate and inadequate nominees for these essential positions; they have told us over and over again who they really are; what they have said in the hearings to get themselves approved cannot be trusted. Thank you for your reconsideration.
