As a constituent, I am deeply troubled by the contradictions between Republican rhetoric and actions. Policies touted as "pro-working class" and "pro-life" are undermined by proposals that harm workers, families, and children.
Key Issues:
Economic Hardships:
Proposed tariffs on imported goods will increase costs for everyday necessities, including groceries. This will disproportionately harm working-class families, forcing many to choose between unhealthy food options and other essentials.
Removing FDA regulations could compromise the safety of our food and medicine, endangering public health.
Public Health and Safety:
Cutting funding for vaccines and removing fluoride from water supply systems undermines public health initiatives.
Inaction on gun violence—the leading cause of death for children in the U.S.—contradicts claims of being "pro-life."
Worker Rights and Safety Nets:
Efforts to defund Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid betray the very workers who sustain these programs through their labor.
Opposition to unions further demonstrates disregard for the rights of working Americans.
I urge you to:
Oppose tariffs and deregulation policies that harm Americans economically and physically.
Advocate for stronger public health measures, including vaccines and safe drinking water.
Fight to protect unions and essential programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
These policies affect all of us, and it is crucial that our leaders prioritize the well-being of their constituents over corporate or partisan interests.
