I am absolutely furious that the Senate is about to pass a deal that doesn’t extend the ACA premium tax credits. How dare they? People literally cannot afford their health insurance without these subsidies. The fact that Congress has thrown so many of my neighbors and fellow citizens under the bus is inexcusable. I am appalled that some Democrats have caved to Republicans while extracting no meaningful concessions. I understand this isn’t your fault—THANK YOU for voting no. But I do ask that you call for Minority Leader Schumer to step down from his leadership position. He clearly cannot keep his caucus aligned on basic needs like health care. I have no confidence in his leadership, or in Senate Democrats as a whole under it, although I know that you personally have our backs. Thanks.
