The President has now stated that he wishes to deport US citizens, who have committed no crime to a prison in El Salvador simply because they have mental illness. He has also stated a desire to deport US citizens there simply because they have committed a crime. Additionally, he has knowingly disappeared US permanent residents and legal immigrants and nonviolent undocumented immigrants to El Salvador and has refused to bring people back, even if sent erroneously. This is inhumane. This is unconstitutional. This is inhuman. This is unAmerican. You swore an oath to uphold and defend the US Constitution. You were elected to stand up for and defend not only your constituents, but also all US citizens and residents. What are YOU doing to stand up against this assault on our constitution and our rights? What are YOU doing to defend the rules of law? What are YOU doing to reign in an out-of-control Executive openly violating the Constitution and international and domestic law? It is your sworn duty.
