The president's decision to sign legislation that marginalizes transgender youth of military families is outrageous and indefensible. It represents a shameful violation of the basic rights and human dignity of these vulnerable young people. This law denies vital medical care and exerts unconscionable government intrusion into deeply personal matters. Such blatant discrimination and harm inflicted upon trans kids with parents serving our country is nothing short of a moral travesty.
