Pursue diplomatic path for Israeli-Palestinian peace

To: Sen. Sullivan, Rep. Begich, Sen. Murkowski

From: A verified voter in Kodiak, AK

February 5

It is deeply concerning to consider taking over the Gaza Strip, as that would constitute a unilateral land seizure and displacement of over 1 million Palestinian residents. Such an action would violate international law and human rights norms, likely provoking widespread condemnation and destabilizing the region further. Instead of pursuing territorial conquest, we should renew efforts towards a negotiated two-state solution that respects the rights and security concerns of both Israelis and Palestinians. A just and lasting peace requires addressing the root causes through diplomacy and compromise, not military occupation or demographic upheaval. I urge reconsideration of any plans to take over Gaza and its people against their will.
