I am writing to urge you to support extending the enhanced Affordable Care Act premium subsidies before they expire at the end of this year. The consequences of inaction will be immediate and severe for the many Floridians who depend on this coverage and their communities. A direct payment to individuals in the name of a “health savings account” is totally unworkable and misleading. The blowback would be awful. Just extend the subsidies.
