Do Not Vote the SAFE Act into Law

To: Sen. Britt, Sen. Tuberville, Rep. Palmer

From: A constituent in Vestavia, AL

April 11

I am a female resident of Vestavia Hills, Alabama. I am writing to voice my stringent disagreement with the SAVE ACT, Senate Bill 128. If passed, this would disenfranchise far too many women who do not have the means to get a passport or the time to hunt down their birth certificates and marriage license(s). This bill would have a disproportionate impact on women—men would appear to rarely be affected. This is a modern day poll tax that will set our country back 100 years, and it is wrong on every level. Please do not pass this bill.
