You are a man of good moral character. As such, I know you know the importance of keeping those of questionable character from serving in powerful positions, and your advice and consent is needed to confirm some whose morals certainly fall into the questionable category. First I implore you to vote to confirm only those who you know are of the requisite good character. People of traditional conservative values on this issue might find it quite reasonable to require one’s character be investigated by the FBI, as has historically been done, but that appears unlikely in the current political landscape; therefore I implore you to do your best to prevent those of questionable character from reaching positions of power. Second, I implore you to only confirm those well qualified for the task at hand. Character and qualifications are essential, you have them, please ensure others who serve do as well.
