Kash Patel is an ‘unqualified’ FBI choice

The nomination of Kash Patel as the next FBI director is deeply concerning. Patel lacks the necessary law enforcement and management experience typically required for this critical leadership role. His inflammatory rhetoric attacking the FBI as "filth and corruption" and plans to prosecute perceived "Enemies of MAGA" raise serious doubts about his ability to lead the bureau impartially. Former officials like John Bolton have condemned Patel as unfit for any government position, let alone heading the premier law enforcement agency. Confirming such an unqualified and divisive nominee would undermine the FBI's independence and integrity. The Senate must uphold its constitutional duty of advice and consent by rejecting Patel's nomination to preserve the bureau's non-partisan professionalism in service of all Americans.
