Release the Venezuelan boat attack videos

To: Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

December 9

I'm writing to demand transparency regarding the U.S. military’s multiple missile attacks on unarmed Venezuelan fishermen. If the boats were smuggling drugs, why not seize the boats, analyze the contents, and interrogate the crews for information about the drug networks involved? Destroying these boats, and killing more than 80 people is illegal. It is murder. It is ghoulish political theater. As a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed Master Mariner of 20 years, I can assure you men clinging to a capsized boat in the open sea are a threat to no one. The footage of the attacks must be released so Americans can see what crimes are being committed in our name. We have three branches of government and a division of power for a reason. Congress must take its power back, release the video footage, and demand an end to these military attacks on unarmed civilians.
