Vote NO on H.R.9495 Non-profits are a major part of our infrastructure to close the gap in society between government infrastructure and what private citizens can provide for themselves. Health programs, community programs, free speech protections, free information access, food programs, civil rights issues, and religious institutions all fall within the realm of non-profits. It is an insane reach for the executive branch to have the power to knock law abiding non-profits unilaterally under the flimsy conditions of, “The President thinks this is terrorism.” He has already said he will be punitive against his “enemies” and has wanted to punish his opponents including whole states that he didn’t win. We CANNOT ALLOW ANYONE to have this level of power to level these critical societal institutions out of disdain. The public shall not become MORE vulnerable due to this bill. I urge you to Vote NO on this bill and protect your constituents.
