Reject unethical proposal to displace Palestinians from Gaza

To: Rep. Goodlander

From: A constituent in Litchfield, NH

February 5

The proposal to forcibly take over the Gaza Strip and displace millions of Palestinians is deeply unethical and counterproductive. Such actions would constitute ethnic cleansing and violate international laws and human rights norms. Rather than promoting peace and stability, this approach would only breed more violence, resentment, and extremism in the region. The situation in Gaza is undoubtedly complex, but forcible mass displacement and occupation by a foreign power cannot be the solution. It would cause immense human suffering and upheaval for a population that has already endured far too much conflict and hardship. The United States should instead use its influence to support a negotiated political resolution that respects Palestinian self-determination and addresses the root causes of the conflict through diplomacy and good-faith peacemaking efforts. Any military intervention or forced population transfer would be widely condemned by the international community and severely damage America's global standing and commitment to human rights. I urge you to reject this reckless and inhumane proposal in the strongest terms possible. The path forward lies in promoting mutual understanding, not more subjugation and displacement of an entire people. Fair negotiation and adherence to international law must be the guiding principles.
