Reject Discriminatory Bathroom Bill Endangering Transgender Students

SB1182 - A Threat to Dignity & Well-Being of Transgender Students The Arizona Accommodations For All Children Act, or SB1182, is a misguided bill that aims to police bathroom access in public schools. By restricting which facilities transgender and gender non-conforming students can use, it increases the risk of harassment, discrimination, and even violence against these vulnerable youth. Rather than promoting safety, this legislation fuels a solution in search of a problem rooted in bigotry. Leading medical and advocacy groups have spoken out forcefully against such discriminatory bathroom policies. I urge reconsideration of this harmful proposal that compromises student wellbeing and human dignity. All students deserve to access restroom facilities matching their gender identity in a safe, affirming environment free from policing or stigma.
