Robert F. Kennedy Jr. should not be confirmed as the Secretary of Health and Human Services due to his troubling stances on vaccines and autism. Despite overwhelming scientific consensus that vaccines are safe and do not cause autism, Kennedy has repeatedly promoted the debunked link between vaccines and autism. His anti-vaccine views are extremely concerning and pose a danger to public health efforts to maintain high vaccination rates and prevent outbreaks of preventable diseases. Furthermore, Kennedy lacks basic knowledge about key areas like Medicaid that are central to leading the Department of Health and Human Services. His conflicts of interest stemming from his involvement in litigation against vaccine makers he would regulate also raise ethical red flags. Overall, Kennedy is an extremely problematic nominee who threatens to undermine confidence in vaccines and roll back progress in autism research and support. I urge you to vote against his confirmation to protect the health and well-being of our nation.
