I'm writing to urge you to please stay strong in the shutdown fight. We cannot cave in to Republican ransoming of services, despite how painful it is to all of us. Make them either negotiate to save our healthcare, or make them use their nuclear option and own this failure to legislate completely. Please, stay strong on this. We'll all do our best to take care of each other in the meantime. If they believed in their bluff, they'd pass it on their own.
