I am not naive- I know there are lingering legal questions around the ERA. However, as a citizen and an activist who has spent time and money getting Democrats elected, I don't care what hurdles you face anymore. We gave you all the power you should have needed to do this through Congress if you preferred that in 2020. You failed to deliver- I don't care why. Democrats have run on women's rights for decades, but you don't actually deliver on your promises. Women are done being used. Either take bold action through President Biden NOW to publish the ERA , or lose all credibility as defenders of women's rights for the Democratic Party. The vast majority of experts, including the American Bar Association, agree that publication is the right next step. If it somehow backfires, activists are willing to take that risk. What we can't take is more inaction and death by procedure. We can't take more empty promises. Please, do what Jimmy Carter would have done, and what's right for the country, by using all your power and influence to secure publication of the ERA before Biden leaves office.
