H.R. 10186, the Protecting Women's Private Spaces Act This bill prohibits individuals from accessing or using single-sex facilities on federal property other than those corresponding to their biological sex assigned at birth. It disregards the fundamental rights and human dignity of transgender and gender non-conforming people. Numerous studies show allowing individuals to use facilities matching their gender identity poses no safety threat. However, this discriminatory measure promotes harmful prejudices against a vulnerable community rather than equality and inclusion. All people deserve to safely access public accommodations with respect for who they are. I urge you to vote against H.R. 10186.
