The situation in Ukraine demands a clear and unwavering stance from the United States in support of our allies. President Trump's recent comments undermine our nation's credibility and weaken our global standing by casting doubt on our commitment to collective defense agreements. We must forcefully reaffirm our promises to our NATO partners, including providing military aid to Ukraine as it continues defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity against Russian aggression. Failure to do so would embolden our adversaries and deeply damage relationships with key allies. As the world's leading democracy, the United States has a moral obligation to uphold its values and safeguard the rules-based international order. It is imperative that we take immediate action to reassure our allies of our resolve and deter further destabilizing actions that threaten global peace and security.
