Support H.R. 10111 - UAP Whistleblower Protection
To: Rep. Schneider
From: A constituent in Gurnee, IL
December 29, 2024
Good afternoon Representative Schneider,
My name is Matthew, and I am writing to you as a fellow Illinoisan and American citizen concerned about the lack of transparency regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). As a cybersecurity major, I understand the importance of information security and am concerned about the level of compartmentalization surrounding this issue within the Department of Defense and the White House.
This year, social media has been filled with compelling footage of unexplained UAP sightings from everyday citizens. These reports have become increasingly frequent in recent years, with numerous credible videos of unidentified objects observed across the country appearing online daily, alongside footage of conventional aircraft, or "drones" in the media.
I appreciate the work of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability in investigating this matter. The testimony from officials such as former intelligence officer David Grusch is deeply concerning, as are the alleged efforts to silence him. My tax dollars should not fund undisclosed black projects or disinformation campaigns designed to obscure the truth about UAP. Nor should they fund programs that withhold potentially transformative information from the public.
Given the numerous UAP reports nationwide and the significant testimony before Congress, I urge you to support H.R. 10111, the “UAP Whistleblower Protection Act.”
It is gravely important to our nation that whistleblowers are protected from potential reprisal by shadowy agencies seeking to conceal information from the American people. Protecting those who come forward is essential for ensuring government transparency and accountability.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
