Vote NO on HR 9495
To: Rep. Scott
From: A verified voter in Palmetto, GA
November 18
I’m a constituent from Chattahoochee Hills, and I’m writing to ask my Rep. Scott to vote against H.R. 9495. The bill would give the incoming Trump administration unchecked power to threaten and shut down any dissenting nonprofit organization by declaring them a “terrorist supporting organization,” without having to provide any evidence or justification.
Even if this wasn’t the intent of the bill, it could be used by Trump to silence dissent and further this authoritarian agenda.
I expect my Representative to stand up against authoritarianism - not rubber stamp it. With Trump about to be President, it’s outrageous to hand him even more power right now.
I am deeply concerned that this bill could be used to target any non-profit organizations that Trump dislikes and let them know that I expect them to vote NO on H.R. 9495.
