As an Illinois resident and constituent, I’d like to call your attention to an open letter to you from Allison Gill, host of the “Mueller She Wrote” podcast. In it, she urges you to hold a hearing with Special Counsel Jack Smith to testify about his findings in the Trump investigations. After he resigns and submits a report to the current AG, he may be able to testify. Next, Gill urges you to request FBI background checks into Cabinet level nominees for the incoming administration, as those essential tasks are being skipped by the transition. This is especially important for the nominee for AG, former Rep. Matt Gaetz, but also essential for nominees for DNI, Sec. Defense, etc. While you have the power to subpoena witnesses, hold Senate Security Committee hearings, and request action by the FBI, please, please use it. The open letter can be seen at
