Please encourage the release of Attorney General Garland's final report written by special counsel Jack Smith about Trump’s attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. The American people and the future continuation of our system of government relies on recognizing those that try to undermine it and not allowing them to be above the law, regardless of who they are.
I also don't think the Justice Department should drop its charges against Donald Trump for January 6 criminal conspiracy just because he's the president. He has already been granted immunity from prosecution for official acts, so there is no longer a reason for the Justice Department to hesitate to prosecute a president. All it does is encourage him and future president's to not accept being voted out of term limited from the presidency, which will result in sham elections or overturning of elections and other democratic norms. I urge the Justice Department to be independent and continue its prosecution. There is nothing more impactful to justice for the American people, which is their responsibility.
Thank you.
