Stand firm on budget demands. Demand SNAP contingency funding be USED if needed

To: Sen. Wyden, Sen. Merkley, Rep. Salinas

From: A constituent in Wilsonville, OR

October 28

I’m writing to express my alarm that millions of low-income families who rely on SNAP and WIC are at risk of hunger because Republicans refuse to use the contingency funds they have to pay for SNAP. Also millions of Americans may not be able to afford their health insurance policies soon if Congress doesn’t agree to a permanent extension of the ACA tax credits. We’re running out of time. Republicans need to come back to DC and work with Democrats to pass a bill now to ensure that hungry Americans don’t lose their nutritional assistance and working Americans don’t lose their healthcare. Demand it of them, remind them they serve the people and not the billionaires or Argentina (!!), and hold firm that these things need to be funded. Thanks.
