Day 107 of a Letter a Day to End Forced Birth

There are a myriad of ways this society is hostile to children and their parents that would give any sane person reason to not wish to give birth. Recently, a woman attempting to travel was put under duress, humiliated, and ultimately forced to complete her flight in extreme, preventable discomfort because a TSA supervisor displayed astonishing ignorance about both the reality of breastfeeding and the organization's own regulations. These experiences are common and understandably a factor in a person choosing not to become pregnant and give birth. For this, and many other reasons, I am writing a letter a day until we end forced birth by writing abortion access into law.
