I oppose Senate Bill 285 which makes it harder for you to vote by absentee ballot by forcing you to show a specific type of photo ID in order to even request your absentee ballot. If you are requesting your ballot by mail, you need a color printer to make a copy of your ID. I oppose Senate Bill 286 which removes your right to return your ballot to a drop box after 5pm on the day before Election Day. I oppose Senate Bill 303 which forces voters to carry a specific type of photo ID in order to vote in person. If a voter cannot provide that ID, they are forced to cast a provisional ballots. These bills are the latest attempt by special interests to rig our elections in their favor by making it harder for people to vote and create unnecessary barriers to the ballot box. Can I count on you to support and defend democracy by voting against and publically opposing these bills?
