Investigate Trump administration abuses, restore democratic accountability

Our system of checks and balances only works with a baseline respect for Constitutional norms, a fourth estate able to act as a free press, and the collective will of citizens to affect change. The recent undermining of democratic institutions has highlighted the fragility of these safeguards when they are under direct assault. To restore faith in government and uphold the rule of law, we must robustly protect freedom of the press, shore up ethics enforcement, address disinformation, and ensure proper oversight through detailed investigations into any abuses of power. The American people's interests must take precedence over partisan motives or individual gain.
