Forced birth is a uniquely sexist proposition. There is no equivalent possible for men. It's not the usual run of the mill gender inequality; there can't even be a pretense of regulating a man's testicles in an equal but separate manner.
If we were to take forced birth advocates at face value, one would expect their efforts would focus on policy that could be implemented by both men and women. Yet they do not, and insist on controlling women as if they are breeding stock.
For this and many other reasons, I am writing a letter a day to demand the end of forced birth and enshrining access to reproductive health care in law.
