Day 65 of a Letter a Day to End Forced Birth

Separation of church and state is such a key element in a free society. However, nowhere is this line blurred more aggressively than with legislation enabling forced birth. Forced birth laws are fed to legislators by unabashedly evangelical Christian groups. These groups often have a stated goal of eliminating the separation of church and state, forcing the nation to live under their interpretation of religious law. This is unacceptable, and one of many reasons I am writing a letter a day until we end forced birth by writing reproductive freedom into law.
