No Federal Funds for Cops

I urge you to oppose the president’s so-called “Safer America Plan.” In particular, I am vehemently opposed to funding 100,000 police officers. American police forces already receive astronomical funding despite no correlation between more police and declining crime rates. Crime rates continue to remain at near historic lows. At a time of rising far-right extremism and the rolling back of civil rights, the last thing this country needs is more funding for jack-booted thugs to harass, arrest, and abuse American citizens.
