As much as forced birth advocates cite their bible as the reason for opposing reproductive freedom, it's interesting to note that these arguments are not based in fact.
Bible verses are an interesting form of evidence because evangelical extremists typically only cite parts of verses. They are fond of ignoring the richer context of various verses that are not helpful to their human rights violation, and often ignore verses altogether when they do not support their efforts to control other people's lives.
The use of their bible to advocate for forced birth is a fallacy. For this and many other reasons I am writing a letter a day until we end forced birth by writing reproductive freedom into law.
