Fight to block the Supreme Court Nomination

Good morning/afternoon Senator, I am writing today to urge you to fight the Republican majority Senate to block the Supreme Court nomination for Ruth Bader Ginsburg's now open spot. It is imperative that we wait until after the election/inauguration when Americans have voted for a president who will then fill the vacant spot that Ruth left. In 2016, Mitch McConnell blocked the nomination of Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland per President Obama by saying, "The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president.” It is vital that we follow that same sentiment this year with the upcoming election being only 6 weeks away. We must use Mitch McConnell's words against him and block the Republican nomination as Ginsburg would have wanted per her words before her death, "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed." So, once again, I impede you to fight against the nomination and do everything in your power to make sure that Ruth's wishes are brought to fruition. Thank you.
