An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures (TX only)

Let Texans Vote Safely

15 so far! Let’s get to 25 signers!

We are in the middle of a pandemic. With this pandemic, there is a lot of uncertainty in voting safely. Extending early voting dates to start on October 13th would have given people a wider range of dates to vote safely. When this extra time is taken away, you put the lives of Texans in jeopardy. Many other state Governors have opened up early voting already. It is shameful that the Governor is even considering the reversal of this decision. Additionally, because of the pandemic and the incredibly mismanaged response, many counties are hurting. 107 people in Texas died from COVID-19 on September 30th. This is not a trivial number. Considering these numbers, the decision to reduce the number of drop off ballot locations to 1 per county was not only reprehensible, it was downright irresponsible. I urge you, please, this is not the time to suppress votes. This is not the time to play games. Let Texans vote responsibly. #LetTexasVote
