Pass H.R. 40

I am calling on you today to pass H.R. 40 to create a commission to study the effects of slavery and discrimination and to recommend appropriate solutions. While it is obvious to anyone who is paying attention that Black communities have been facing an unjust system in this country for centuries, it has unfortunately become clear that more concerted efforts are needed to make change. As the US Government, it is your responsibility to understand the needs and barriers facing the people you serve and to do something to address them. This commission will also help move America toward more equality for all marginalized communities by identifying promising solutions to the issues of inequality.
