Please call for AG William Barr's impeachment

Please immediately call for the impeachment of William Barr. Barr covered up the Mueller Report. He ordered federal troops to brutally assault peaceful protesters. He publicly lied twice about firing the SDNY prosecutor. He reversed the DOJ’s position & dropped the case against Flynn after Flynn PLED GUILTY. He interfered in Roger Stone’s sentencing because Stone is a Trump ally. The head of the Justice Department cannot be allowed to act as a nefarious political instrument for a want-to-be autocrat. The House must forcefully declare that turning criminal prosecution into a political weapon or shield is a breach of norms that the republic will not tolerate. It doesn’t matter that the Senate won’t convict. If a crime has been committed, you don’t let it go because you think you know how the jury will vote! Fighting only the battles that you know you will win is a sure way of ensuring you lose. Preemptive surrender to a party and administration that is moving us toward autocracy is permanent surrender. Force the GOP to defend this unprecedented level of corruption by an attorney general. There’s no reason for the House Democrats to provide political cover for them. If Senate Republicans want to protect Barr and take the heat for it, let them do so. Former Deputy AG Donald Ayer testified today, “William Barr poses the greatest threat in my lifetime to our rule of law.” Barr must be impeached now. Thank you.
