Transparency in Government

7 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers!

Transparency in our government is not much to ask for. In fact it is essential to have transparency for voters to trust in their elected representatives. I am writing to you about two areas where we are lacking transparency. First i would ask you to demand transparency and investigation into where the money from the treasury has gone and who it has "helped." Transparency is required when citizens money is spent on our behalf! A second are is in any presidential administration. "The 'Transparency in Executive Branch Officials’ Finances Act would expand the existing financial disclosure requirement for all political appointees, such that all appointees, the President, and the Vice President would need to disclose any positions they or any members of their extended families hold with foreign-owned businesses, any intellectual property they own that is protected or enforced by a foreign country, and whether any members of their families have stakes in companies that engage in significant foreign business dealings." Since we seem to be unable to willingly have transparency in an administration, we must have laws through which transparency can be enforced. I urge you to support this act, with a veto proof majority if necessary.
