Halt USCIS Furloughs and Save Legal Immigration

15 so far! Let’s get to 25 signers!

I implore you, as your constituent, to take action and stop 13,000 needless furloughs at USCIS. Millions of people who are immigrants power our economy. We need to make sure that the USCIS, the only agency that can process their cases properly, remains operational. These furloughs will strain the agency, hurt hundreds of thousands of immigrants, and put legal immigration services to a halt - services such as naturalization, student visas, and work permits. The effects are already being felt by essential services- biometric exams, interviews, and case filings- already coming to a halt before the furloughs even happened. Please support and vote for an emergency funding bill that provides $1.2 billion to fund the agency and stop these needless and preventable furloughs.
