Pass Gov. Evers’ Legislation to Combat Police Violence

In the wake of Jacob Blake’s shooting, Governor Evers has signed an executive order calling for a Special Session of the Assembly to pass police accountability and transparency legislation. The legislation that Governor Evers has proposed would: • Prohibit chokeholds • Prohibit no-knock warrants • Create statewide use of force standards • Expand de-escalation training programs I ask that you immediately pass this legislation as soon as the State Legislature convenes per Gov. Evers’ executive order. Thank you.
