Don't defy the Governor's order

We urge citizens and all public servants to respect the rule of law and reject false choices. Our elected officials must follow CDC guidelines that defer to state health officials and experts, and allow data to lead our response unimpeded. Some legislators, first from Lebanon County and now elsewhere, wish to reopen the economy. They are driven by a small group of loud Pennsylvanians. All are suffering right now and while everyone would like to see a return to normalcy, we do not believe defiance of the Governor’s emergency declaration will get us there. The Governor committed to using data to make decisions and has honored that commitment from the beginning. We are patient; we will come back from this because we are Pennsylvania.
