Please Pause Schools Reopening

School districts are planning to reopen this fall. My daughter is among those who will be going back to school. This terrifies me. I’m painfully aware that the kids miss their friends and want to get back to normal, but we’re not ready for that yet. Reopening schools as COVID-19 cases are resurgent is irresponsible at best. The “school year” is a human construct; so let’s remake it. Please step in and put the start of the school year on hold and let the numbers drive if and when we return to classroom learning. Thank you.
