Senator, your President just announced to the world that he is blocking any new additional funding to the USPS in order to strip them of critical capacity in the upcoming election. You need to speak out against that right now. We need the Senate to uphold their sworn duty to protect our constitution, and ensure a legitimate election in November. We need Dejoy to step down or be removed. As you likely know, he and his wife hold tens of millions of dollars in investment in USPS competitors. Dejoy has purposely slowed mail delivery through a series of outrageous maneuvers that can only be seen as an attack on our country's most popular government service. No one can have confidence on Dejoy's leadership and you should say so, clearly, and ask for his removal immediately. You need to speak up in support of additional emergency grant to the USPS in the next Coronavirus emergency bill. You should state clearly that you won't support a bill that does not include provisions to address this crisis at USPS. We want you to state clearly that you will protect our elections, and support mail-in voting already being administered in Ohio. You should demand that the USPS does NOT charge regular first class postage of $.55 per piece, but the regular $.20 bulk rate used in past elections. To triple the cost this close to the election while states are reeling with budget shortfalls is an attack on the election.
